Equine Assisted Therapy
Equine Assisted Therapy is a therapeutic approach where we work with horses to explore emotions, beliefs, behaviours and challenges you may be facing. In our sessions the focus is on the interaction between you, me as the therapist and the horse. Together we create a safe and supportive environment for personal exploration and growth. Each session is tailored to your unique needs and goals and is client centred. Whether you are working on emotional regulation, building confidence or exploring personal challenges, this approach is designed to support you in meaningful and empowering ways.
The EATA model is grounded in an experiential and somatic approach, providing clients with opportunities to explore emotional regulation, psychosocial growth, and self-awareness in a safe and supportive environment. The model acknowledges and incorporates the holistic aspects of health— physical, emotional, social, cultural, spiritual, and mental-for both humans and horses.
